The path
toward achieving recognition as an artist has been a
long, arduous and challenging quest. The more life
seeks the ruin of my hopes the more I respond with
new ideas and greater goals. I have nestled into my hometown, a picturesque floral
settlement of mannered gents and ladies who have
little or no understanding of the despair heaped
upon me as my neurological issues attempt to destroy my
abilities. When I first heard the story of Nanyehi I
became a revived spirit, encouraged to move toward
the direction of art and music with the ferocity of
a wolf mother protecting her young. I have redefined
my group of friends to be comprised of those from
the global village of creativity. My friendship with
Becky spans forty years, and my prayers and cheers for both of us
are everlasting. ---Photo...Sam Montel, BA,
